What's your favorite memory from the summer of '09?

Ilocos! Especially the windmills. :)

1. I love all things great and pink -especially if they're gadget-y and click-ety, I know it's annoying. I have a pink netbook, mouse, camera, phone, external hard drive, DS lite, iPod, earphones... I'm planning to get a pink router and speakers soon. Ugh.
   
2. I'm so endeared to having curly hair, I finally had my first perm last year.
3. I'm nearsighted. I prefer wearing contact lenses than eyeglasses because eyeglasses make me look old and teacher-y (lol). Actually, I gave up wearing the rims when I started practice teaching with infants. They always grab it from my face. Hehe.
4. Oh, yeah, my first actual teaching experience was with an infants class. My youngest student then was a 7-month old boy. It will always be among my coolest memories as a teacher ever.
   
5. I cannot sleep well with music playing in the background. Yes, any music.
   
6. I do not eat hamburgers -along with bunch of other stuff like liver, isaw, other innards, tofu, spicy food and ampalaya.
7. I'm all game to learn new things but there would be three things I don't think I'll ever get to learn doing which I call "The 3 D's": I cannot draw, dance or drive.
   
8. I never, not even once, tried smoking. I have no intentions of doing so. But I do keep a lighter -for birthday candles to light birthday cakes during birthday parties in my Kindergarten class. Come to think of it, they had a party in Nursery and they didn't return it to me yet... hmm.
9. I love animals and pets from dogs to guinea pigs to aquarium fishes. I wish I could keep a cat though. Or a polar bear.
   
10. I have 10 active email accounts: 5 in Gmail, 2 in Yahoo, 1 in Hotmail, 1 from the University, 1 personal. Oh and I do check them all regularly.
11. Everybody loves movies, but I'm into Korean films -my favorite ones would always be My Sassy Girl, See You After School and, just check out my profile. I can't say no to cool Pinoy indie plots also -like Magnifico and Pagdadalaga ni Maximo Oliveros.
    
12. My favorite food would always be bacon and chocolates and ice cream.
    
13. I love to read, I often carry reading materials around, but it seems I do not have any time to read anything leisurely nowadays -my textbook on Assessment is currently squeezed in my tote bag and that shouldn't count. 
14. I do yoga and my favorite pose is the Balasana (child's pose). Lol.
    
15. I should avoid caffeine but I can't help but have at least one cup of coffee a day. I never liked brewed coffee though. Instant is the way to go for me (even with iced teas)!
16. My weight barely changed since I was in high school. I never got past 97 pounds. And the secret after all this time is: hyperthyroidism (hence the reduction of caffeine intake).
    
17. I'm interested in bird watching. And nobody would care except fellow birders but my favorite birds would be the Pied Fantail (Rhipidura javanica), White Breasted Waterhen (Amaurornis phoenicurus) -I saw downy chicks early this year, and the Philippine Falconet (Microhierax erythrogenys). I've yet to see the latter though. :(
18. I do not like to dress up -I'd rather splurge on gadgets than buy clothes and shoes and my idea of make-up would be potted lip balms and pressed powder. I do not know how to put on eyeshadows or what they're for. I believe in moisturizers though.
19. Back to the days I still have cable, I'm so into animal and nature shows and I always look forward into seeing Steve Irwin (bless his soul) and Jeff Corwin. I felt sad when the Crocodile Hunter died, now I will never have a chance to meet him. Oh and now, I do not have cable anymore which brings me to the next random fact:
20. I do not have cable tv anymore, in fact I do not have a tv. Sometimes I do miss it, but I find no use for it except to see the local morning news each day before I get off to work.
21. If I'm not a teacher, I would be... a veterinarian or a vegetable or flower farmer or a National Geographic correspondent. Yeah!
    
22. I'm such a crybaby -I cry when I'm happy or sad, I cry over animal movies or icky touching scenes in sitcoms, I cry when I argue or when I'm tired. I cry a lot.
23. I'm such a geek that I try to check the weather forecast online regularly -especially right before events like vacations or field trips.
24. I'm a morning-midday person. My energy levels are so down at night. Hence my dislike for bars and other forms of nightlife happenings.
25. My ultimate dreams: travel anywhere I haven't been to yet, write a breakthrough computer program, or finally have a Roomba. :)

Impatience. Stubbornness.

If you could teleport to any place in the world right this second, where would you go?

Just right beside him. Naks. Lol. Jaskidin. Hmm... maybe to Paris, France or Venice, Italy? Europe sounds good. Or maybe Africa to join a safari expedition. I also wanted to see Bangui, Ilocos so badly. :)

9. Favorite prof(s). Parang wala. Ah si Dr. Carolyn Ronquillo nalang. Oh and yung teacher ko sa Ed Psych. Nyii I forgot.
10. Pinaka-ayaw na GE subject. Uh... yung may science at math?
11. Kumuha ka ba ng Wed or Sat classes? PE -Cheerleading, lol.
12. Nakapag-field trip ka ba? Uh sa Corregidor, sa Batangas, sa Cavite, at sa Festival Mall!
13. Naging CS ka na ba or US sa UP? Oh yeah.
14. Ano ang Org/Frat/Soro mo? Fighting BSAP!
15. Saan ka tumatambay palagi? Sa boarding house. Or sa College. Or College Lib. Or sa AS Lobby. Or sa Sunken Garden sa tapat ng Educ.
16. Dorm, Boarding house, o Bahay? Never ako nagdorm, bedspace nung first year, uwian sa lola ko nung second year tapos third year sa KNL and fourth year apartment na sa TVE.
17. Kung walang UPCAT test at malaya kang nakapili ng kurso mo sa UP, ano yun? I love my course pero siguro nag Psych ako or Vetmed hehe.
18. Sino ang pinaka-una mong nakilala sa UP? Ay grabe, si Leah! :)
19. First play na napanood mo sa UP? Nakalimutan ko na.
20. Name the 5 most conyo orgs in UP. Karamihan ng BA orgs syempre.
21. Name 5 of the coolest orgs/frats/soro in UP. Ah peste silang lahat, I hate orgs. Joke.
22. May frat/soro bang nag-recruit sa yo? Frat. Joke. Yeah, pero wala lang yun.
23. Saan ka madalas mag-lunch? Variety: Sa CASAA, or sa Lutong Kapitbahay or sa KNL or sa Tearoom or sa Philcoa. At dati sa Purple/Orange/Green House nung buhay pa siya.
24. Masaya ba sa UP? Yeah kaya nga nag MA eh.
25. Nakasama ka na ba sa rally? Nope.
26. Ilang beses ka bumoto sa Student Council. Four times.
27. Name at least 5 leftist groups in UP. Paki ko.
28. Pinangarap mo rin bang mag-laude nung freshman ka? Oo naman. Yabang eh. Hehe.
29. Kanino ka pinaka-patay na patay sa UP? Uh, secret.
30. Kung di ka sa UP, anong school ka? USTe or Lasalle Dasma. Wahaha.
